Cool New Stuff at the Museum Store!
August 17, 2012 – PMM’s Education Department has created an intriguing block puzzle featuring images of nine fish from the Gulf of Maine. Try your hand at matching up heads, middles, and tails to create herring, halibut, cod, and more. Enjoy the beautifully wood-burned blocks based on historic fish images from U.S. Fish Commisioner G. Brown Goode’s 1887 work documenting American fisheries.
The blocks were custom created for us by Paul Nadeau of Vermont and are now available at PMM’s Museum Store. Take a chance on our fall raffle and you could win a set of these blocks (a $40 value) in the basket of children’s activities!
