French artist Anne-Emmanuelle Marpeau fell in love with Maine over twenty years ago and has been creating intricate shadow boxes inspired by romantic nineteenth century Maine maritime tales ever since.  Her unusual and very popular shadowboxes are on exhibit at Dowling Walsh Gallery in Rockland, Maine, but one of them, Escapade, will be at the Penobscot Marine Museum fundraising auction at Point Lookout in Northport, Maine on Saturday, July 19th .   Escapade depicts a rough sail in high seas on a stormy moonlit night.
