Award-winning Lewiston Sun Journal journalist Kevin Mills brings Maine’s and his family’s history to life in Sea of Liberty, the last book in a trilogy based on stories passed down in Mills’ family.  Kevin’s Maine ancestors were shipbuilders, lighthouse keepers, and merchant mariners, and one family legend tells the story of Eligood Mills who sailed on the privateer Grand Turk and was captured by the British.  On Saturday, July 26th at 2:00 pm, Mills will be at Penobscot Marine Museum to talk about the role of privateers in the American Revolution, and his personal journey in uncovering his family’s history for the writing of Sea of Liberty.  The book signing will be in Penobscot Marine Museum’s Main Street Gallery, 40 East Main Street, Searsport, Maine.  Admission is free.
