PMM photo archivist, Kevin Johnson, will reflect on the creation of the exhibit, Kosti Ruohomaa: The Maine Assignments, and dig a little deeper into some of the themes and share where the exhibit will go from here. After two years of COVID-19, it was very satisfying to finally display the new Kosti Ruohomaa exhibit. Initially planned to celebrate Maine’s Bicentennial, the exhibit focused (no pun intended) on the Rockland photographer’s stories on Maine, many of which were self-assigned. The exhibit was an opportunity to share more of his stunning work and also to examine his methodology and interests.

Member Mondays are included as a member benefit and feature intimate monthly Zoom lunchtime programs presented by staff members. Topics vary every month – it’s a fun way to take a close look at items in our collections and get a peek behind the scenes at PMM. Not a member? Join here.
