Join us to learn how the work was done and see examples of historical treasures uncovered.  Focusing on instances of emotion found in otherwise routine record books\, the talk highlights the dangers local seagoing families faced at sea during the U.S. Civil War and the risks of commercial shipping under sail even in peacetime.
