DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, June 26\, 7:00 pm\nThursday Night Lecture Series\nCatching the Wind with Steve Hallee \nMaine native\, Science Teacher\, Inventor and founder of Green Ridge Energy\, Tecwind\, Sensaflo and Silverleaf Instruments will discuss how wind is generated by the sun in our atmosphere on earth\, how the ancients captured wind for sailing vessels and for wind power on land  to grind corn and pump water. Details on how sails and windmill blades have changed over the years to optimize how much power they catch from the wind will be presented. The lecture will include  the latest offshore wind power technology and the latest Sailing America’s Cup designs will be discussed. \nPMM’s Main Street Gallery.
