During this Pre-Season Sneak Peek\, attendees will get the opportunity to go behind the scenes to see what’s going on and what’s coming up. Attendees will be the first to see new exhibit changes and check out ongoing projects in the library and photo archives. During this 1.5-hour walking tour attendees will also sit to watch newly added sardine videos in our theater space and examine fascinating historical documents in the library reading room. PMM staff and volunteers will guide the attendees through the experience to share information and answer questions. Each session of this unique opportunity is limited to 20 people. DESCRIPTION:From Paul Bunyan to Mom’s story about the giant fish that gets bigger with each retelling\, coastal Maine is rich with fish stories and tall tales. During this camp participants will start each day enjoying stories\, crafts\, games\, and music relating to tall tales. DESCRIPTION:Sailors’ Valentines are a form of seashell art that sailors brought home to their loved ones. Most Sailors’ Valentines were made in the West Indies\, on the island of Barbados\, between 1830 and 1880\, but production continued into the early 20th century.
