Joanna Colcord’s Searsport

June 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$5

Searsport Maine was quite a happening place at the turn of the 20th Century. The town was prosperous with numerous shipyards and the related industries that supported them. Joanna Colcord, arguably Searsport’s most notable woman, spent her formative years there. The daughter of famed sea captain Lincoln Colcord, Joanna grew up in this coastal village. What was life like in Searsport then? While many of the same buildings and homes still remain, things looked very different. PMM Photo Archivist Kevin Johnson will take a look back in time at the Searsport Joanna lived in, drawing from the museum’s numerous photography collections. Register here.

On Zoom or in person at PMM’s Old Vestry building, 2 Church St.

Free, Suggested admission $5
