Our March Member Monday will feature our curator Cipperly Good. While the Maine sardine industry was well documented with oral histories during its heyday in the 20th century, not much has been recorded now that the industry is no more. Cipperly is changing that, doing listening sessions with former cannery workers and community members in former sardine cannery towns to document the aftermath of the canneries closing and how these communities have revitalized now that a major economic driver has left.
Member Mondays are included as a member benefit and feature intimate Zoom lunchtime programs presented by staff members. These programs are scheduled January through April with one presentation from each of the following departments: Administration, Curatorial, Photo Archives, and Education.
