No Sleep ’Til Brooklin: Reception & Slideshow

Pack Dodge and the Haven Colony, 1900–1930
Reception & Slideshow: August 19, 6–8 p.m.
Location: Rockbound Chapel, 718 Reach Rd., Brooklin, ME
Free, donations welcome
Discover the story of Brooklin’s Haven Colony through the remarkable photographs of Parker “Pack” Dodge, a Washington, D.C., patent attorney and seasonal resident who documented life in this unique summer community during the early 20th century. In 2023, Pack’s descendants, John Dodge and Paul Gagliardi, donated nearly 1,000 of his large- and medium-format negatives to the Penobscot Marine Museum. Curated by Maynard Bray and Robert Baird, this exhibition highlights the people, places, and maritime traditions of the Haven Colony.
Join us for a free reception and slideshow on August 19 from 6–8 p.m. The exhibit is on display free of charge through September 30 at Rockbound Chapel, which is open and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing visitors to explore at their convenience.
