Penobscot Marine Museum is excited to partner with the Marine Learning Project for a special day of sailing and storytelling aboard the historic schooner HARVEY GAMAGE.

The day features two separate voyages along the Penobscot River. The morning sail, Penobscot Rising, travels from Bucksport to Bangor, with stories of the river’s maritime history shared by PMM Curator Cipperly Good, PMM Board President Jon Johansen, and historical reenactors.

Guests can attend a reception in Bangor from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. before boarding the afternoon sail, Penobscot Homeward, for the journey from Bangor back to Bucksport. The afternoon voyage offers another opportunity to experience the river and learn about the communities, landmarks, and maritime industries that shaped its history.

Proceeds from this special fundraising sail will support the Penobscot Marine Museum and youth sail-training programs through the Marine Learning Project.

$190 per person, plus service fee
