SardineFest

Celebrate all things sardines at SardineFest! Join PMM for:
- Live music with The Oystermen, Kate McCann, and the Searsport Shores Jam Band
- Children’s activities
- Food trucks
- Sardine tastings
- Storytime with Carver Memorial Library
- Sea life touch tank with Herring Gut Coastal Science Center
- “Salty Tales” where people involved in the sardine industry can share their stories
- Demonstrations

Maine sardines were a huge part of coastal communities from the late 1800s through the early 2000s. PMM’s 2025-2026 exhibit Sardineland explores Maine’s sardine industry and its impact on people and communities. SardineFest will celebrate this lost industry with a variety of activities for people of all ages.
