We are excited to bring Portland based filmmaker Tonya Shevenell to the Colonial theatre to screen her film The Home Road.
The score of the film will be performed live by Sumner and band-mate Josh Robbins. Proceeds from the film will benefit the Penobscot Marine Museum photo archives allowing more of these important historical photographs to become available to the world via the museum's online database. The event was underwritten through a generous sponsorship by Mathews Brothers and Coastal Healthcare Alliance. Beer will be provided by Marshall Wharf Brewing. Tickets are $20 with a limited number of VIP tickets for $50.
Penobscot Marine Museum and Colonial Theater invite you to Salted Tales: Stories From the Sea Told Live at Colonial Theater on Sunday, March 29, 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Hear working seamen and women tell hair-raising real-life sea stories of amazing experiences on the water from fending off Somali pirates to putting out aircraft carrier fires. Each fast-paced story will be eight minutes long. Story tellers’ backgrounds range from the U.S. Navy to tug boat captain to commercial fisherman.
